MyFax
MyFax is one of the fastest growing online fax services. This company caters to a wide range of customers, from individuals to large corporations. MyFax provides exceptional service and affordable monthly subscription rates. The service is available in four pricing plans, and each plan includes a local or toll free fax number, one year of online fax storage, free setup and a free international faxing zone including 41 countries.
MyFax Services
MyFax services are available through four select plans. As with many online fax services, the plans differ only by the amount of faxes that are included.
Following is a comparison of the four plans:
- Best Value – The MyFax Best Value plan includes all of the standard features plus 100 outgoing fax pages and 200 incoming fax pages. The monthly price is $10.00, but if paid annually, it is only $9.17 per month. Additional pages cost $0.10 per page.
- Most Popular – The MyFax Most Popular plan includes 200 outgoing faxes and 200 incoming faxes. It is priced at $20 per month with no annual payment option.
- Fax More – The MyFax Fax More plan includes 400 outgoing faxes and 400 incoming faxes. The monthly subscription price is $40, and like the Most Popular plan, a lower annual payment is not offered.
- Corporate Fax – The Corporate Fax plan is a scalable and customizable plan that can meet the needs of even large corporations. Corporate online faxing is simple to integrate into any current IT infrastructure and provides tracking, archiving and advanced security.
How to Use MyFax
MyFax keeps operations simple but provides flexibility by offering three methods of sending and receiving faxes. The first method is through email. All you have to do is enter the fax number as an email address @myfax.com, attach a document in any of 178 supported document formats, and send. Receiving faxes by email is just as simple. They arrive in your email inbox as a PDF file. MyFax allows up to five email addresses to be linked to a single account for sending and receiving faxes.
If you want to bypass the email fax support, you can also log in to your account at myfax.com and visit MyFaxCentral. MyFaxCentral provides security and additional features, such as the ability to view faxes from up to one year in the past.
The third method of sending and receiving faxes is through your iPhone or Blackberry mobile device. These apps are free with your account, and allow you to send and receive faxes while on the go.
MyFax Conclusion
MyFax is a great midway point between RapidFAX and eFax. It provides for greater flexibility than RapidFAX, but does not include all the features of eFax. In addition, MyFax does not yet have an Android app, so those with Android phones are out of luck.
